How to create a professional email address? Everybody can easily make a free email address. But for business, when you use Yahoo, Gmail or Hotmail, your clients or customers may think you are not a professional business person and that will not give them a good first impression. You need your own professional email addresses with your own domain name. How do you do that? I will show you a way to create your professional email address for free.

How to choose your domain name?

The name for your domain site should be base on your business, this can be your name, your brand name or any related abbreviated name. Next, you must have a domain name for your business. You can use free domain co.cc for free the first year, but they will charge $3 for second year. Other free domain is uni.cc, your domain name will be www.yourdomainname.uni.cc. For business, you may buy a dot com domain. This will make a better impression with your customers. The domain *.info is $0.99 and *.com around $10 per year. You can find a reasonable price at Godaddy.

Get free email address with your domain name

Now, that you have your own domain, you can use Google Apps Standard Edition, it will help you create up 50 custom email addresses with your domain name for free. Another thing you can try is Windows Live Admin Center service, when you set it up, you can create up to 500 email addresses. Also you can promote your brand with 500 free email addresses. If people like and use your email domain, you will have more visitors, customers and ultimately increase your sales. This is a way to expand your brand name for free. I have used Windows Live service, so I will share how I set up with four steps:

Step 1: Sign in on Windows Live, you may have a Hotmail account, if you do not one have, you can register for one for free.

Step 2: Add your domain and chose "Set up Windows Live Hotmail for my domain" and finish this set up.

Step 3: You will see a list for domain settings; these are the records you need to change on your domain registrar's site. This is includes MX, CNAME,TXT records.

Step 4: Go to your domain registrar's site. If you buy domain at Godaddy, you will go to Total Control DNS and add the records in step 3. You need to clear all existing MX records.

That is it. It will work up to 48 hours. If it does not work, you need to read more at Windows Live Help and fix it on the domain registrar's site. You can turn open membership on, it will automatically choose an email name of their choice, it will help you reduce stress and promote your site.
